If you’re craving a crunchy, salty snack but want a healthier option, these crispy sweet potato chips are the answer. Made with just three simple ingredients—sweet potatoes, cooking fat, and Pluck seasoning—this recipe transforms humble sweet potatoes into nutrient-packed, irresistible chips. Baking them on a convection setting allows them to crisp up beautifully without the excess oil of traditional frying. Pluck seasoning adds savory depth and an umami boost while also infusing the chips with essential vitamins and minerals. These chips make an excellent side dish, lunchbox snack, or appetizer at gatherings, and they’re far fresher and healthier than anything you’ll grab from a bag. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, or enjoy them plain—the flavor speaks for itself.

Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 2 tbsp lard (or bacon fat, or fat of choice)
- 1-2 tbsp Pluck seasoning of choice
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350ºF Convection Bake.
Step 2
Cut sweet potatoes in half and slice into thin half moons. Toss with melted fat in a large bowl. Sprinkle Pluck to coat well.
Step 3
Place single layer on a tray. Add more Pluck (if desired), and place in oven to bake. Turn over the potatoes with a metal spatula to cook evenly. Your ultimate goal is to dry and roast the potatoes until crispy without burning them. Sweet potatoes burn easily if not checked often.
Step 4
Cook for about 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
Remove from oven and serve.
