Ingredients
- 1 Beef Heart
- 1 tbsp beef tallow
- 2 tbsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp Pluck Pure Organs
- 1 l bone broth
- 2 granny smith apples
Directions
Step 1
Clean your beef heart by removing the connective tissue with a sharp knife.
Step 2
Rub the front and back of your heart with sea salt and Pure Pluck.
Step 3
In a dutch oven pot, sear your beef heart on both sides on the stovetop until deep brown. Reduce the heat to low and add bone broth. Let braise for 2 ½ hours on the stovetop covered.
Step 4
Slice granny smith apples and add to the dutch oven pot. Continue to braise for another 30 minutes on the stovetop.
Step 5
Remove heart from the dutch oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice along the grain and serve with braised apples. Enjoy!
