Finding Authenticity Through Food: My Conversation with Dr. Tricia Pingel

Finding Authenticity Through Food: My Conversation with Dr. Tricia Pingel

I recently sat down with Dr. Tricia Pingel for a powerful conversation about food, authenticity, and the deeper connection between what we eat and how we live.

We explored my journey from acting to cooking, and how that path eventually led me to becoming a chef focused on real, nutrient-dense foods. Along the way, we discussed how easily people can get caught up in trends, external expectations, and confusing nutrition advice, often losing touch with what truly nourishes them.

A big part of our conversation centered on organ meats and why they remain one of the most overlooked yet powerful sources of nutrition. We also touched on mindful eating, emotional relationships with food, and the importance of listening to your body rather than following rules that don’t serve you.

At its core, this episode is about more than food, it’s about self-awareness, connection, and learning to make choices that support both your health and your life.
