Recipe by James Barry

Sixteen plus years in the culinary field, James started as a private chef, having cooked for celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Mariska Hargitay, George Clooney, Gerard Butler, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Barbra Streisand, and John Cusack.

This simple pizza sauce is sure to bring the family together. Welcome spring with this light Neapolitan pizza sauce.

Step 1

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, or in a bowl if using an immersion blender.

Step 2

Blend until smooth. That’s it, I told you it was simple!

This recipe makes pizza night simple, easy and healthy! Leftover pizza sauce can even be used for a simple pomodoro sauce with pasta. Pizza pictured is a gluten free cauliflower crust with fresh mozzarella, fontina cheese, soppressata, spicy capicola and arugula microgreens. I like cracking a little black pepper on top of the pizza as well as a nice dusting of Pluck seasoning!

18-20 ounces can San Marzano tomatoes

4 medium-large organic garlic cloves

1/8 cloves organic flat leaf Italian parsley (loosely packed)

1/8 cloves organic fresh basil (loosely packed)

1/8 cloves grated parmesan

1 tablespoon fresh cracked black pepper

3 tablespoons good Italian olive oil

1 teaspoon honey

Salt to taste
