Weekday Pizza Sauce

This simple pizza sauce is sure to bring the family together. Welcome spring with this light Neapolitan pizza sauce. Pizza pictured is a gluten free cauliflower crust with fresh mozzarella, fontina cheese, soppressata, spicy capicola and arugula microgreens.

  • 18-20 ounces can San Marzano tomatoes
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons Pluck seasoning
  • 4 medium-large organic garlic cloves
  • 1/8 cups organic flat leaf Italian parsley (loosely packed)
  • 1/8 cups organic fresh basil (loosely packed)
  • 1/8 cups grated parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons good Italian olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt to taste
  1. Step 1

    Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, or in a bowl if using an immersion blender.

  2. Step 2

    Blend until smooth. That’s it, I told you it was simple!

    Leftover pizza sauce can even be used for a simple pomodoro sauce with pasta. I like cracking a little black pepper on top of the pizza as well as a nice dusting of Pluck seasoning!
